Privacy Policy

Your account and practice

We use your email address and sign-in provider identifier to create and secure your account. Email/password sign-in is handled by Supabase. If you choose Apple or Google, that provider authenticates you; we do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Submitted answers, their transcripts, feedback, and practice progress are stored on your device and synced to your account through Supabase. In-progress drafts and scratch-pad sketches stay on your device. This lets you return to your work across devices. App preferences and sign-in session information are also stored locally.

Spoken answers and reasoning checks

The app uses microphone and speech-recognition permissions when you record an approach. Speech recognition is provided by your device’s operating system and may use its provider’s servers. Audio recordings used for playback stay on your device; AlgoMaxx does not upload them to its evaluator or sync them between devices.

After you allow a reasoning check, your written answer or saved transcript and the relevant problem are sent through our Google Cloud service to OpenAI. The app asks permission before sending your answer for evaluation. Choosing Not now keeps your saved answer without sending it for a check. Permission currently lasts for the app session and resets when you change accounts. The feedback is saved with your practice. We do not attach your account email address or audio recording to a check. Avoid including private or sensitive information in your answers.

We request that API responses not be stored as application state. OpenAI may still keep abuse-monitoring data, generally for up to 30 days, with exceptions described in its data controls. This is separate from your saved feedback in AlgoMaxx.

Email and service operation

Resend delivers account-confirmation and password-reset emails. It processes the recipient address, message, and delivery information. Supabase, Google Cloud, and Resend may process technical information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, errors, and security logs to operate and protect their services.

Our evaluator’s application logs record a request identifier, response status, and duration, rather than the text of your answer. Usage records enforce check limits and help control service costs. AlgoMaxx does not include advertising or sell your practice answers.

Deletion and retention

We keep your account and synced practice while your account remains active, unless you request deletion. Local drafts and recordings remain until cleared through the app or by removing its local data.

In the app, open Profile → Account settings → Delete account. Confirming deletion removes your account, synced answers, assessments, and account-linked evaluator records. It also clears that account’s saved data and associated recordings on the device where you complete deletion, except recordings also used by retained pre-sign-in practice or another account.

Practice saved before sign-in, data under other accounts, and local copies on other devices are separate. Remove the app or its local data on those devices to clear remaining local copies. Signing out alone does not delete saved practice.

Overall service-cost totals that do not identify your account remain. Deletion does not instantly remove copies in provider security logs, email delivery records, or backups; those follow the providers’ retention processes and applicable legal requirements. Apple-linked accounts also disconnect Apple authorization where a usable token is available. If this cannot be completed automatically, the app shows how to remove AlgoMaxx from your Apple Account.

Support correspondence

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments. Our support address forwards to a Gmail inbox. We use that information to respond and resolve your request; avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for support.

Your choices and questions

You can use written answers without microphone access, change permissions in your device settings, and choose whether to request a reasoning check. To ask about your information, access or correction requests, or deletion when you cannot sign in, contact support@algomaxx.dev. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you.

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other locations. Their privacy information is available from Supabase, Google Cloud, OpenAI, and Resend.

Updates to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. If a change requires new permission, we will ask before the affected sharing begins.
